Parking

The University maintains several parking facilities and leases additional spaces in other lots for the use of its faculty and other officers. Some of the University’s parking facilities are dedicated to commuters living outside of Manhattan. Others may be used for long-term parking by eligible officers. Overnight parking is not permitted in commuter garages, to ensure compliance with IRS regulations regarding pre-tax treatment of qualified transportation. The policies governing access to and management of parking on the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses may be found in the University Policies website and those for the Irving Medical Center are provided by the CUIMC parking office. Parking fees are charged monthly and schedules of fees can be found for Morningside and Manhattanville through the Columbia University Parking Office or at the Irving Medical Center through CUIMC Facilities Management. Payment is made primarily through payroll deductions, except in the case of short-term assignments or for parking by eligible retired faculty.
