Housing

The Columbia University Faculty Housing Policy describes eligibility and prioritization for University-owned housing, including the composition and responsibilities of the Housing Priorities Committee.

The University has also developed the Housing Assistance Program (HAP2) to assist faculty in renting and purchasing apartments and homes in New York City and its surrounding areas. For information about these programs, please see income supplement, forgivable loan, and shared appreciation second mortgage programs. Please contact the appropriate dean’s or executive vice president’s office for eligibility questions. For information about similar programs at the Irving Medical Center and the Law School, please contact the appropriate dean’s office.
